Keys to a DREAM
Play this visual novel and hear from Dr. Tereza Lee, now music educator and activist and the original 'Dreamer'. In 2000, Tereza was a talented Asian American student in Chicago who had dreams of studying music but was afraid her status would prevent it. Tereza was the inspiration for the first Development, Relief, and Education for Alien Minors (DREAM) Act. Learn about the keys to Tereza's immigration story and ways we can all advocate for immigration reform.
The first version of the DREAM Act was introduced in 2001 and was proposed bipartisan legislation that would have permanently protected certain immigrants who came to the United States as children and vulnerable to deportation. Visit American Immigration Council website for more about the DREAM Act. Learn more about Tereza Lee and her organization Church Street School.
